How To Cook Ukwa (Recipe2)

PREPARATION METHOD

Soak your 600g of Ukwa into a bowl of water for about 2 hours before cooking time.

Put 2 or more liter of water in a Pot and boil.

Wash your Ukwa into the boiling pot of water, and allow to boil.

Add your Potash or Palm Ash to soften.

Cover Pot and allow to boil for about 10/15 minutes.

You can also add a little Salt to taste.

Serve with either fried fish/chicken/turkey/beef

Voila! Your Ukwa is ready to eat.

You can either sieve out the water and serve separate in a bowl plate or you enjoy both together.

  • Ukwa (African breadfruit)
  • Water
  • Salt (optional)
  • Potash or palm ash
